Japan-ize Phnom Penh's Streets

As a result of daily congestion in Phnom Penh, the city hall has installed new 100 smart traffic lights in town. The eighteen-million-dollar project was funded by Japan through Japan International Cooperation Agency AKA JICA. The project covers not only the traffic lights, but also the cameras along the roads, traffic sensor, and one control room in the city hall. Since the lights are Japanese technology, the road mark and lane size have to follow Japanese standard except the fact that Japanese people drive on the left, while Cambodians drive on the right.
