As of October 2018, Phnom Penh city has its buses increased to approximately 270 buses and extended from 9 lines to 13 lines running on most of the major streets in town. Also, there is a line, line 2, running from Phnom Penh to nearby town of Takhmao in Kandal province. Phnom Penh City Bus operates from 5:30 am until 8:30 pm everyday with the fixed fair of 1,500 KHR or about 0.40 USD. Moreover, some people such as senior citizens, students, children below 1 metre of height, garment factory workers, teachers, athletes, and disables are offered this service free of charge.
